This book tells about creatures of the Invisible World. The book was made by Holly Black and Tony Diterlizzi. It tells about goblins and brownies. I just got the book at Christmas and it is great! It also tells about how a brownie can turn into a boggart and that hobgoblin spit can give you "the sight." It might have creatures that you didn't know like the will-o'-the-wisps. I liked the cockatrice,the manticore,and the kelpie.
A kelpie is a evil water spirit that is black and looks like a horse and if somebody rides the kelpie it will drown the person and eat the person,too.
A manticore is lion with a head like a human and it is very poisonous. They are usually spotted in the jungles of Brazil and Indonesia.
A cockatrice is half cockerel and half serpent. If you hold a mirror and a cockatrice looks at you,it will turn to stone.
A weasel is said to be the enemy of a cockatrice but a crowin
g cockerel can make a cockatrice have fits and thrash its self to death. Cockatrice are also called a basalisk.
A giant swallows salamanders to breath fire and to make sure that their tails don't get tangled up so they won't become hydras.
